Nissan maintenance is performed by Nissan-trained technicians who have expert knowledge of your vehicle. This knowledge allows them to identify potential issues that ordinary mechanics could miss. In addition, all our maintenance uses only Nissan-approved replacement parts. As your Nissan dealer, we want to tell you about some of the types of maintenance we provide.

Examples of Nissan Maintenance Available at Your Nissan Dealer

Brake Maintenance

The braking system depends on force and pressure to bring your car to an almost instant stop, even when you’re traveling at speed. Force and pressure generate heat, and combined with the wear and tear of constant use, braking components will inevitably wear out. Brake maintenance ensures that your brakes will always stop your car whenever you need to.

Our technicians test each braking system component to ensure it’s working correctly. Components are also examined for signs of rust, wear, or damage and replaced as necessary. The entire system is checked for leaks, as leaking brake fluid reduces braking effectiveness and can lead to an accident. Finally, your brake fluid is tested, then drained and replaced.

Battery Testing

A dead battery is annoying and stressful, inevitably happening when you can least afford it to fail. Fortunately, regular battery maintenance can prevent this situation. Corrosion can build up on the battery terminals, reducing battery recharging rates and eventually causing the battery to fail. Extreme hot or cold weather can affect the electrolyte solution, causing the battery to fail sooner than it should.

We can test your battery at any time, although we recommend annual testing when your battery is three years old. This is close to the midpoint of an average battery’s life and helps to identify any potential weaknesses. If your battery is healthy, you have the peace of mind of knowing it’s very unlikely to fail. If your battery is weakening, we can install a new one for you in minutes.

Transmission Fluid Replacement

Transmission fluid plays several vital roles in your transmission. It provides the essential hydraulic power that enables the gears to shift. It coats all the transmission components in a protective film that reduces friction. As the fluid moves through the transmission, it helps to cool the hot components. As time passes, the fluid becomes less effective, and this increases the potential for component damage and makes gear shifting slower and noisy.

Our technicians will drain the old transmission fluid then we replace the transmission filter. We check the transmission pan gasket and all other seals to make sure they fit tightly. Once we’ve resealed the transmission, we refill the transmission fluid. The new transmission fluid will make gear shifting smooth and easy again.
