Your new Nissan is protected by the 2024 New Car Vehicle Limited Warranty. In the unlikely event of any defect in the labor or with the materials used in your Nissan, this defect will be speedily corrected at no charge. We want to tell you more about your Nissan warranty and the type of coverage it provides.
Understanding the 2024 Nissan Warranty
Basic Coverage
This section of your warranty applies to the majority of your vehicle’s systems and components. Coverage applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. If any repairs are needed to correct a defect, these repairs can be completed at any Nissan dealer in the US or Canada at no cost to you.
Some types of damage are not covered, and these general exclusions are explained in your warranty handbook. Situations not covered include normal wear and tear, damage caused by unauthorized repairs, or damage from theft, fire, or vandalism.
Powertrain Coverage
The powertrain consists of all the systems that allow your Nissan to move. It includes the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drive systems. Your restraint system, which consists of the airbags and their electronic systems, is also protected by this warranty. Coverage applies for five years or 60,000 miles. All protected components and systems are listed in your handbook.
Adjustment Coverage
Adjustments are minor repairs, like wheel balancing, that don’t require replacement parts. Any necessary adjustments will completed at no charge during the first year or 12,000 miles.
I-Key and Key Fob Batteries
These items will be replaced at no charge during the first year, regardless of mileage.
Wiper Blade Inserts
Your original windshield wiper blades are covered by a six-month warranty, regardless of mileage.
Refrigerant Only Recharge Coverage
If the original refrigerant needs a recharge, it will be provided at no cost during the first year or 12,000 miles. After this period, the refrigerant will be replaced for free only if performed as part of an AC warranty repair.
Corrosion Coverage
All your Nissan’s metal body panels and sections are specially protected against rust and corrosion during manufacture. If perforation develops, which is corrosion that forms a hole through a metal section from one side to the other, the damaged metal section will be replaced at no charge. This coverage applies for five years regardless of mileage.
Seat Belt Limited Warranty
Your original seatbelts and their control systems are protected against defects for ten years, regardless of mileage.
Towing Coverage
If your Nissan can’t be driven due to a warranty-related fault, it will be towed to the nearest Nissan dealer at no cost.
